Looking after the land

The grounds hardening up looking forward to having it harrowed, reseeded in parts and fertilised in the next few weeks, and seeing that grass start to grow again!

Jobs around the yard

The ground is hardening up so we have been busy getting those fencing jobs done! Well hubby's been using the 8lb hammer and I have been instructing and holding the posts for the first initial blows rather trustingly! Finally, finished with laying our woodchips, it's been an exhausting week! I did have a fab hack, and a good long canter this morning on Rex with Kirsty & Robin, even though a few paths need to be cleared as we got prickled to bits going down one track, the road is closed so we had no alternative!
Hubby was out last night so I settled down to a good read of Horse & Hounds bumper show issue, not read a copy in ages as usually read the enewsletters these days, a good read though. Gotta go now, have a cuppa waiting x

Best valentines ever!

Well what a Valentines I had this year, hubby pulled out all the stops, he produced a dozen stunning roses, a take away meal, plus 30 cubic meters of wood chippings for our paddock / manage!
Mind you, it would be a shame if that take away ruined my figure, so shifting all the chippings just acts as a little work out to keep me trim, good job that i'm not afraid of a bit of hard graft aye...
